Contact Full Screen Photo

I changes a contact’s photo in my iPhone 12 Pro that was full screen and now it won’t show up as full screen anymore even when I change it back to the original photo. I tried the suggestions like moving it around and still nothing!

iOS 17.3.1 Contact Photo not showing in full screen for contacts where poster is not set up I have hundreds of contacts with a contact photo for each of them. At the initial version of iOS 17, all those photos were appearing as full screen while calls were incoming. However, now at iOS 17.3.1, only the contacts with poster set up are showing as full screen photo/poster. Now its almost impossible to set up poster for all the contacts I have. Moreover, I don't have that specific (say favorite) photo of a/any person that was set up as the contact photo previously. Developers might think that contact photo must not appear as poster, but I think it should be users' choice whether it should appear in full screen or not. In the previous version of iOS, all the contact photos were appearing full screen afaik.

The server stores and caches the photo you allocate to a contact card, which is then synchronized to your device. Different over-the-air accounts might have varying allowances for the size of contact card pictures. Which account are you using to synchronize your contacts? Consider using iCloud and selecting a photo from your Camera Roll, preferably one taken using the Camera app on your iPhone.
