Emails confirmed by email server as being delivered to me.com email address do not appear on recipient's ipad

The emails we send to someone with a me.com email address aren't appearing in her inbox in her iPad mail. I have confirmed many times on our email server that they are confirmed as having been delivered, so we know they did reach her email account. They are not in her junk folder. Any ideas as to where they may have ended up? Could they have been diverted into a folder in the corresponding webmail account, such that they are not being downloaded to her iPad when she checks her email, not even her junk folder?

Yes, that was my theory too, and it turned out to be correct - the emails were in her junk folder in her icloud webmail account, even though they weren't in the junk folder on her iPad and iPhone. They whitelisted the address by putting it in her webmail account contacts and by marking a few of the messages as not spam. Is there anything else we need to do? We're assuming that marking every found in the junk folder as not spam is not needed.

Hello dvwlmn,

We see you are helping someone with receiving email on their iPad. Since the email address is an iCloud associated one, you might have her log in to the iCloud website to see if the emails show there.

Read email in Mail on iCloud.com

That will help narrow down if the issue is specific with her iPad or the iCloud mail address in general. Also, is she not able to receive emails from specific addresses or any?

The goal will be to narrow down the issue a bit to help determine the underlying cause. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Best regards.

Hi dvwlmn,

It sounds like they've completed the correct steps to mark the message as legitimate. If there are other devices the steps below found in the article here can help as well: Report and reduce spam in iCloud Mail

"Mark legitimate emails as not junk

Filtering out junk mail can block a legitimate email from reaching your inbox.

If you feel that a legitimate email message was accidentally filtered, you can mark it as not junk so that any future messages from the same sender go to your inbox:

  • On your iPhone or iPad, open the message in the Junk folder, tap the Move to Folder button  at the bottom of the screen, then tap Inbox to move the message.
  • On your Mac, select the message in the Junk folder and click the Junk button in the Mail toolbar. Or just drag the message to the Inbox in the sidebar.
  • On iCloud.com, click the Junk folder in the sidebar. Select the message, then click Not Junk at the top of the message window. Or just drag the message to the Inbox in the sidebar.
  • For other mail clients, move the message from the Junk folder to the inbox.

If you notice that multiple email messages are being delayed, bounced, or not delivered, contact iCloud Support. Email messages in the Junk folder are automatically deleted after 30 days."

You should be all set. Hope the information helps.

Cheers.
