Voice Memo recordings are no longer being saved in Application Support folder
I frequently use Voice memo to record interviews for work. I then retrieve the recordings from Library<Application Support<com.apple.voicememos<Recordings, and upload the mp4 files to an online transcription service. Today and yesterday I recorded two interviews. They're accessible through the Voice Memos app--I can play them back--but the Recordings folder is empty, so I can't upload them to the transcription service using my normal method. I searched the machine for .mp4 files, but those particular recordings didn't turn up.
I recently emptied the entire Recordings folder to save space, and I'm wondering if the problem is that I took out the Recordings.db files with everything else. I copied them back over from a backup, but that hasn't fixed the problem at this point. I recorded a new memo as a test, but the Recordings file still has no recordings in it.
For now, I have a workaround to the transcription problem: I shared the voice memos to the Notes, opened them in Apple Music, and then accessed the mp4's in the music folder. But I'm wondering how to get the Voice Memo files to start saving mp4's in the Recordings folder again.
I'm using a MacBook Air, OS Ventura 13.5 (22G74)
