I am editing a 1 hour and 15 minute 4K project and I have 32 gb ram on a mac mini so I can't really upgrade the memory. My editing is really slow because I have to force quit and then try again and again. Is there anything I can do to get back to editing without the freezing? Thanks in advance.

Whenever FCP crashes or starts acting strangely an easy thing to try is resetting FCP preferences. Hold Option and Command while launching FCP and choose Delete Preferences. It will open the default Untitled library. Re-open the library you were working on, set the Preferences back to the way you like them (disable background rendering, reset Import to Leave Files in Place, etc.) and see if the issue has been resolved.
If you are still experiencing issues after that, run an etrecheck report from https://etrecheck.com after giving it Full Disk Access in System Preferences. Post the report here using the "Additional text" button below in your reply. This will help us to see what might be going on with your machine. You can search other discussions here to see what other people's reports look like.

When I changed my playback peferences to stop rendering in the background and creating proxy files, it solved the problem. I guess when I deleted my perferences, I forgot to reset them. Thanks agian.
One of your drives is completely full. You want a minimum of 10-15% free.
Don't run MalwareBytes continuously in the background. Run it manually periodically.
Others may see additional items.
TimeMachine is a good backup strategy if/when your MBP internal drive fails.

SO I ran EtreCheck and it said I had no major issues just minor one. Here's the report in a screenshot. I have never launched Time Machine before and I don't know why, but if I do will this help?
Thanks Terry. Yes, I just backed up to Time Machine and icloud. I did prevent MalwareBytes from running in the background. Have a great weekend!
