Purchased an iPhone 14 the previous owner never took it off there account there for its locked to owner is active cant get a hold of the person that sold it to me any ideas that could help me out would really appreciate it

Before selling that device to you, the previous owner had to perform these instructions:--> What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad

If s/he didn't, you are encountering "activation lock" (an anti-theft measure), AND if you cannot remember or don't know the old Apple ID & Password (even using these instructions:--> If you forgot your Apple ID email address or phone number - Apple Support or these:--> If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support ) neither we, just users like you, nor Apple can help you, sorry, unless you are the original owner and you still have the proof of purchase (receipt/invoice reporting your device’s IMEI or Serial Number). Shouldn’t be this case, activation lock can be removed only by the previous owner, with the credentials that were used to activate that iPhone/iPad. Without those credentials, that device is useless to you.

You've been scammed and have most likely purchased a stolen iPhone. Apple will not help you. We cannot help you. If you don't know or can't reach the owner who sold you the phone (who most likely is not the person who the phone is locked to), you've wasted your money on an iPhone you can NEVER use. If you can't get your money back, recycle the phone responsibly and chalk this up to a bad purchasing mistake. NEVER purchase an iPhone from someone you don't know or at least unless you could see the phone before purchase to ensure it opened to the hello page, indicating it was prepared appropriately for a new owner.

Sorry, but there is literally nothing you can do with this phone.

Ps: Do NOT go looking for some service who claims they can get in the phone. They can't. And you'd be wasting more money doing so.

Sorry, but most likely you purchsed a stolen phone, especially since the owner won't get back to you.

The phone is useless to you without the original owner unlocking it.
