Finder opens when clicking App in MacBook Air dock

When I click on an App in the dock Finder opens with the App highlighted. Plus the keyboard seems to think command is being held when trying to type and in Chrome a new tab keeps opening whenever I click on anything. This problem is intermittent and will usually sort itself out after a few restarts. Please could someone let me know if there is a way to stop these issues? I have tried some of the fixes from a few yrs ago but they don’t work. Thanks

Bug in latest MacOS 13.4.1 (c) I've just updated my Macbook Air to MacOS 13.4.1 (c) today and the Menu bar doesn't show up in full screen mode when I'm using Google Chrome, Safari and other applications. The dock sometimes doesn't show up. When it does, it gets stuck in full screen mode. It doesn't go away. The expected behaviours: When in full screen mode, the top menu should appear when hovered over and disappear when not hovered over. When in full screen mode, the bottom dock should appear when hovered over and disappear when not hovered over. I have the "automatically show and hide menu bar" on - I haven't changed it.

white lines on icons on the dock Since the latest update my 2020 macbook air has stripes on some of the icons on the dock, which disappear when putting the cursor on them. Why? On this screenshot it is the calendar and the google chrome icons. Some days it is other icons. The computer has also been a little skittish overall. Overheating when not many programs are open, shutting down programs in the middle of a process. Is a 2020 macbook considered old?

Pages appears to quit when closing document MacBook Air M2, MacOS 13.2 and Pages 12.2.1 Pages “seems” to be quitting when I close the last open document window and click desktop or another app. This is counter to the Mac standard - particularly weird for an Apple application. Apple support kicked it "upstairs" - who could replicate it and kicked it further upstairs - who declared it a new feature. Try this sequence: Double click to open a Pages document. Pages icon appears active in the dock. And, Activity Monitor shows Pages active. Close (red dot) the document. Pages icon remains active in the dock Activity Monitor shows Pages active Click on any other item on the screen (Finder or other app) Pages icon "open app dot" disappears from the dock icon Activity Monitor shows Pages active.
