Trouble reading microSD card from Dash Cam

I have a dash cam that records videos to a microSD card. The videos are saved in Volume1:\AUKEY\MOVIE, and the “saved” protected videos are in Volume1:/AUKEY/MOVIE/RO. I can easily read the microSD card on my work laptop or my Mac at home. If I put it into a SD card adapter and use the Apple branded Lightning to SD card adapter to connect it to my iPhone 14 Pro it shows up, but the MOVIE directory says it is empty. The exact same thing happens on my iPad Pro 11” M1 with a UGreen USB-C hub. Why can’t either of these devices see the files? If I copy the files with a computer from the SD card to a USB memory stick, both devices can see the files just fine with the appropriate adapters, so it isn’t a file type issue.

Anyone have any ideas? I’m willing to purchase a new SD card reader for my iPad if it will work.
