For anyone who has struggled with this, it is possible. This is the workaround:
Sign in to appleid.apple.com with your iCloud alias and normal Apple ID password, create an app-specific password for New Outlook, and then set up your iCloud alias email account in New Outlook. I have been trying to do this for years. So far, so good. Everything works as it should.
Thank you for this which worked for me. What I can’t however do is to reply to an email that was sent to the alias address and for the alias address to appear in the from field. Would you know how to resolve this ?
I can use my iCloud email alias in the old version of Outlook for Mac without problems. In the new outlook version, the alias is not recognized: mails sent with default iCloud-adress. In account settings there are no options to change settings of the iCloud-account. In the old version there are many options to change account settings, not in the new version. What solution do I miss?
