Box DropBox OneDrive GoogleDrive vanish from Finder sidebar intermittently

The "new" way Macs are backing up the cloud-service folders seems to be confusing my Mac to no end. Under "Locations" in the sidebar–where all the cloud folders are now located (along with the name of your Mac any any external drives, iDevices, etc. connected to the Mac–the Box, DropBox, OneDrive, and GoogleDrive folders randomly appear and disappear.

I'll go to Finder one minute, notice that OneDrive and DropBox are missing, do one of these 🤨, go do something else in Safari or whatever, and then go back to Finder and OneDrive has magically reappeared (sometimes one service vanishes, sometimes multiple ones, no pattern seems to be evident).

I only run the cloud "applications" when I want to sync files, so the services are almost never running in the background; not sure if that causes issues [I so rarely change the files stored there (they're essentially backups of backups) that there's no reason to have the sync run automatically in the background all the time].

Anyone else notice this behavior? The folders are still accessible using the alias folders in my Home folder (although I had to create one for Box, as it doesn't seem to create a shortcut on its own), but the situation's pretty weird.

The updated Dropbox shows up in the Finder sidebar—>Locations

if you do not see it, move your mouse to the right side to reveal the carrot and spin it open..

I do not use Google drive or OneDrive, but I would expect the same...

Yes, I'm aware–I stated that in my first paragraph. My issue is that they vanish from that position from time to time.

Intermittent issues are hard to diagnosis.
