Update after unboxing Mac pro

I recently bought a brand new Mac Pro 2023. After unboxing it, I noticed it didn’t prompt me for automatic updates. Instead, I updated it manually. Is this normal? Shouldn't it have promoted me to update it without doing it manually? Just seeing if it’s normal or if my OCD at it again??? Thanks!

With new Macs, I have seen them prompt for updates immediately, or sometimes in a day or two. Sometimes there is a delay, sometimes not. We have some older Macs in use and some have prompted for the 13.5.1 update but some have not yet. I think they check on a schedule that is not continuous but might be every few weeks or so. If told to check manually, they always find the update right away. So I would not worry about what you have seen so far.
