Is there a way to block certain types of apps? Like 2nd line apps, social media, etc?

I'm not sure I understand your question? If you have apps you don't want to use on your iPhone, delete the apps.
Please provide more information if this didn't help you.
Ps: You can use Screen Time in Settings to choose apps, which are always allowed or not.
