That usually means your email account is not set up correctly on your phone.

Is this a new problem, or has it never worked?

Have you changed your email password recently?

What kind of email account is it (gmail, iCloud, Spectrum, Optimum, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Yahoo, AOL, etc)?
