iTunes Store Purchases Unavailable in U.S. but Available On Other Platforms?

Why are certain songs I'd like to purchase through the iTunes Store unavailable to United States citizens , however I am able to listen to the "restricted" songs with Apple Music?

Furthermore these iTunes "U.S. restricted" songs are available and can be purchased through other digital music stores such as: Beatport, Bandcamp, Deezer, and countless others.

Is there any potential workarounds to these seemingly unreasonable restrictions — such as establishing a network connection outside the U.S. using a VPN, or is this a potential bug of some kind? I'd much rather use the iTunes store to purchase music, but often cannot.....

Kind regards,,
