Photos pulled from old IMAC

Hi! I’ve been trying to pull my photos from a iMac 2009 using OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5

processor 2.66 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo

Memory 4 GB 1067 MHZ DDA3

Startup Disk Macintosh HD

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB

i’m trying to get my photos off of my iMac because it’s old and I don’t want to lose those photos. I’ve tried getting them off and putting them onto an easy store and others but am not savvy to do it . Can anyone tell me an easy way of doing this? Or a YouTube video would be great. Thank you.
