VO2max calculation with Apple watch 7 is not accurate

I have tested this watch with different timing of quick walk, the data does not change at all, infact many times your results go down, which can be alarming. I tested with my doctor and my Vo2Max looks to be about normal, but apple watch consistently shows poor. I will never recommend to use watch for this calculation. Diappointed with these results.

I exercise and run regularly so considered it wrong. I paid for a professional VO2 max test at my nearby university and discovered my true VO2 max which placed me in the 75th percentile for men aged 63. I am 73. Whats wrong with this hardware? Does the Apple Watch calculate VO2 Max using only Outdoor Walk, Outdoor Run, or Hiking workouts or does it also take into account Cycle, Swim and other workouts? Apple states that "Apple Watch Series 3 or later can record an estimate of your VO2 max using the heart and motion sensors during an Outdoor Walk, Outdoor Run, or Hiking workout in the Workout app." But does it take into account other workouts such as Swim, Cycle, Rowing etc when calculating VO2?

What should I do if my VO2Max Is Inaccurate on my Apple Watch? Every training metric outside of the Apple Health app is showing my fitness levels increasing over time. Personal Bests longer lasting training sessions more reps on Zwift running and cycling significant weight loss 55 VO2Max recorded in a lab but on Apple Health showing 35.8 and dropping. cant trust this tech and I’m a massive Apple fan in every other aspect [Re-Titled By Moderator]
