kaz-k has an excellent point, whatever disk size and memory you choose, you've got it for life as neither is upgradable after purchase. Entry level is often not the best choice. Nobody complains about buying too much RAM or storage.
Also consider buying at least one external HDD for backing up. You can very get a high quality drive from other than the Apple Store, but don't be without one.
Additionally, AppleCare + is an excellent value for warranty coverage after the one year warranty runs out.
