I am unabl to update softwares . Y????

I can’t get software update on this device what is the reason? All my applications are updated on older version. I have tried several times but can’t not update.

Most likely, your iPad Air is a 1st generation model, which cannot support iOS/iPadOS versions past 12.5.7.
