My Mac book does not turn on, would like to sell it back to apple

Probably not an idea, beyond some trade-in on new products.
They might offer to recycle it for free; or use some third party
outlet in the exchange, if you trade it in for newer Apple tech.
You may (or not) find independent Apple trained service and
sales outlets; open to repair or make offer for old tech Macs.
Some are nearer and you could also make a fair deal depends
on your location and if you know of any small shops there.

[An advert in craigslist used to be an OK way to sell older
Macs and other goods; might still be ~ if caution is used.]
