Shocked by MagSafe iPhone charger with Apple Power Brick

I was shocked by my MagSafe charger on my iPhone. I was charging through an otterbox case. Using a 20w apple power brick. Every time I touched the charging phone it would shock my arm terribly. Anyone else?

Getting Electric shock from apple 20w adapter I bought my new iPhone 17 on 5th October. When I am putting my device on charging, it gives electric shock near the edge and camera button region. I tried unplugging my device and touched the charger cable pin directly to confirm it and I felt the shock. I checked the adapter details whether it’s a faulty or not but it seems to be fine and found it manufactured by an authorised company named Salcomp. What should I do? Please advise me whether I should purchase an other adapter with cable. I am worried that this will affect my battery health drastically. Can static electricity from macbook cause damage to iphone? Hi, I have been charging my iphone via USB C to lighting cable connected to my 16 inch macbook. Nowadays I am feeling a bit of a tingly shock when touching the macbook's chassis as well as iphone's metal body. Can this cause damage to either of them? NB: I use 140W brick (2 prong hence not grounded) Thanks.
