Not receiving notifications for certain apps

For the past week or so, I haven't been getting notifications for certain apps (Snapchat, Discord, WhatsApp) that I normally do get. All notification settings for all apps are turned 'On,' cache has been cleared, apps have been signed out and signed in again, not logged in on any other device, iOS is up-to-date (iOS 16.6), the phone has been restarted several times with no success, lock screen/notification center/banner settings are all turned on for these apps and yet nothing! It's extremely frustrating since I work on-call remotely and rely on WhatsApp for alerts to start working. If I can't get notifications, I can't start working, and then I don't get paid.

iPhone SE, iOS 16

Hi addgon98,

If you have already ensured that your notifications are configured properly as described in Use notifications on your iPhone or iPad the next areas to evaluate are if a notification summary has been configured (also outlined in that article) or if the apps have been disabled per these instructions:

"Turn off notifications for specific apps

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications, then tap Siri Suggestions.
  2. Turn off any app."

Barring those, check for an active Focus on your device per Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad and disable that if so.

Regards.
