cannot print black only on my Canon Pro-200 or iP7260

I used to be able to select black only and the printer driver for my iP7260 would do just that. Yes, would just use the large black cartridge. Ventura OS stopped this.

Very annoying when I need to print a lot of black and white text drafts only.

Even when grayscale only is selected, you can see the process colours with a magnifying glass.

Strange that setting is no longer available.


I just checked my Canon Pixma 7520 printer by printing a Safari web page. This is what I see when I choose Print from Safari's File menu. (This may not help much, as there are always driver differences between different printer models). Anyway, just wanted to point out that this isn't the case for ALL Canon printers in Ventura.


Have you tried deleting this printer and reinstalling it to see if anything changes?
