Cold Water Swimming and Apple Watch

soooo im on my 3rd apple watch now - all of which switch off when im swimming in cold water (apple have done all sorts of tests etc and always end up giving me a new watch with the same issue) - this morning the water is 15°c and off it goes - this isnt even that cold - i swim all year and go down to 0ish

is it time to throw in the towel and get a garmin or fit bit ???

i love my apple watch - help !!!!

anyone else had the same issue ???
