NY Times links don't appear

Day before yesterday links to NY Times articles etc. quit working. I can open the site itself, but when I click on a link within it, it very briefly flashes on, then disappears, leaving a blank screen. I had not done any updates etc. Any ideas out there?

It is only links from the NY Times. I can go to the Times, but if I click on a link to an article, it flashes onscreen in a new tab, then goes blank. I can open Spelling Bee, but from there cannot see Hints: the tab opens, the page flashes, then disappears.

No other site behaves this way. Only the NY Times!
