MFI Hearing Aids vs Phonak Audeo L-50

I have slight hearing loss, and my physician advised trying hearing aids. My audiologist at a highly regarded university medical center recommended Phonak Audeo L-50, and I now am on a trial period. The Phonak is paired to my iPhone and iPad by Bluetooth. But there are issues with background noise, the connection “ cutting in and out“ while trying to listen to music or an audiobook outside walking, and also integration issues with Apple CarPlay in my car – – telephone and messages want to play through my hearing aid instead of the car speakers. I also use an Apple Watch, MacBook Pro and several Apple TV’s, but have not tried pairing to those yet. I am wondering, while I still am in my trial, if I would be better off with an MFI hearing aid given how much Apple is integrated into my personal and professional life? Any recommendations for MFI hearing aids that would provide hearing correction equivalent to the Phonak Audeo?
