iOS 16.6 impacts car pairing?

My 2017 Jaguar XE (no CarPlay) has always paired flawlessly with my iPhone XS Max. Both phone and text. Recently, my car has stopped displaying text messages. When I select text messages on the car screen, I get the message "Text messaging not available". I haven't changed any settings on my phone or car. I've tried unpairing and re-pairing the phone, and that did not resolve the issue. I'm wondering if a recent iOS update is the cause? I'm currently running iOS 16.6. Thanks!!
