Siri won't respond to my voice while using my Airpods (Gen 3)

I recently just switched to Gen 3 Airpods and I Siri won't respond to my voice while using my Airpods and I've looked at all the settings to ensure Siri is set up and turned on.

We're glad to help! Please test the issue after applying each step below:

Make sure the iPhone you use your AirPods with is fully up to date. The current iOS version is 16.6. You can see which version your iPhone is currently on by going to Settings > General > About. If your iPhone needs updating, here’s how: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Siri & Search and turn Hey Siri off, wait a few moments then set up Hey Siri again: Use Siri on iPhone - Apple Support
If Hey Siri still isn’t working with your AirPods, see if resetting them helps: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

If you still can’t invoke Hey Siri via your AirPods, please contact Apple Support directly to look into this issue further with you: Get Support
