You can use these steps to change the date/time saved to a picture:

1. Open the photo or video, then tap .

2. Tap Adjust Date & Time or Adjust Location.

3. Enter the new information, then tap Adjust.

To change the date, time, or location of a batch of photos, tap Select, tap the thumbnails you want to change, then follow the steps above.

You can revert a photo or video to its original date, time, or location. Tap , tap Adjust Date & Time or Adjust Location, then tap Revert.

Correcting the dates with Adjust Date & Time will correct the date the photos have been taken, so it will ensure that the photos will be sorted correctly in All Photos, or the Days, Months, Years, but it will not correct the sort order in the Recents album. The Recents Album is sorted by the date the photos have been added to Photos, and that is not necessarily the date, when the photos have been taken.

The sort order in the Recents album is not stable - it can change when Photos is rebuilding or repairing your Photos Library, for example, after a major system upgrade or when the library has become damaged by frequent crashes. Then the photos might be added to the rebuilt library in a different order. So be not disappointed, if the Recents album will not be fully back to normal, after you have fixed the wrong capture dates.

Do you remember what has happened directly before the Photos has lost some of the dates of the photos and videos in your Photos Library? It is not normal that Photos has lost the capture dates of some of your photos.
