Swim Pause on Apple Watch Series 7

Hi I have a Apple watch series 7 which I use to record swimming, however when I want to pause or stop a swim, I can't due to wearing a screen protector which stops me accessing the crown and the side button effectively and can't press on the screen. I have also tried using Seri to voice activate pause and stop, however due to the noise pollution in the pool doesn't work effectively and ends up adding extra time to a recoded swim. I know you can go in the Fitness App and see the auto sets, however this doesn't post over to Strava and just looks on the stats I have taken longer to achieve my swim. Therefore is there any other way to effectively pause and stop a swim??? Or any protectors which are waterproof to enable you to touch the screen or access the side button's? Also does anyone know how to setup Strava to only display your Auto Sets and total as one complete swim???

The built-in water lock will prevent any screen touches during a swim and so you either have Siri or you must turn off water lock first using the crown.

Any Apple workout on the Watch will copy over exactly to Strava.

Screen protectors that stop you getting to the crown seem to be a tad over the top. They may even hold water rather than protect the watch. I use a thin self adhesive face protector only.

I also never get my watch wet as the water resistance is not under warranty but that is another matter, you should be 99.9% sure of a water resistant watch - we only hear from the 0.1% on here.
