Apple Watch used in MRI now experiencing charging issues

I was working in a 3T MRI this week one of the days I forgot to remove my watch and noticed the polarisation of my watch was reversed and now my watch struggles to charge.

I read that several people experienced similar issues, and one of the suggestions was to go back into the mri room to try reverse the polarisation back.

Has anyone tried to do this, has it worked before?

Kindly advise
