Help with: Batch file rename from excel spreadsheet

Hello,

I found this tread :

Batch file rename from excel spreadsheet - Apple Community

It's basically about renaming files in a chosen folder with a CSV file.

In the csv file are in colum A all the current filenames and colum B the filenames I want them to be.

Im following all the steps, I even replaced the file name in the prompt to my own csv file name.

When I run the script it will give me a negative number renamed

See screenshot:

Can anybody find what i'm doing wrong?

If this works this will help alot.

Is there anything in a Desktop/Errors.txt file?

With the exception of your changed CSV filename, here is the Automator application workflow that should result in a quanta of files processed. You must choose the folder containing your files and the CSV. That CSV needs to be a proper CSV with complete two columns separated by a single comma. No header row. They should be proper UNIX filenames without multiple periods, or embedded commas in the filenames.
