Macbook not connecting to home wifi network automatically

I have an older MacBook Pro running OS 10.15.7 and recently it has been having an issue connecting to my home wifi network (Xfinity Gateway). This is not an issue with the network as all other devices seem to be okay. When I open up my MacBook, it is searching for wifi networks and it recignizes the network but will not autojoin. When I select the network, it keeps asking for the password. It will accept the password and connect but this issue contuinues to repeat itself.

Any thoughts?
