iPad Pro 11 M2 flash drive compatibility

Hi,

I have purchased an iPad Pro 11 with the M2 chip, the version with Wi-Fi and with 512 Gb.

I’ve tried to open a memory card, formatted in ex-fat, using a usb-c adapter through the Files App.

The problem is that the memory card appears on side bar.

On my previous iPad Pro 11, the one with the M1 chip, the same memory card appeared on the Files App.

Also I’ve tried on my brother iPad Pro, the one from 2020 pre M1 chip, and it also works.

Can anyone help me with this?

kind regards,

Jose Mario Gomes

Perhaps begin with posting screenshot of your what you can see in the Files App when you have connected your USB-C Adapter and your "memory card":

Take a screenshot on your iPad - Apple Support

If necessary, you can redact the screenshot (to remove any personal or sensitive information) using markup tools. Your screenshot can be uploaded using the image button at the bottom of the message editing window:

Please also confirm details of the USB-C Adapter and the memory card/storage device.

Thank you for your response.

The adaptador worked fine on my previous ipad pro, with the M1 chip.

It’s just on this iPad that it doesn’t work.

What i would like to know is if there is a change in the file system support, or if it could be a hardware problem.

I’ve tried a new usb-c drive right out of the box and it worked fine.

I don’t know why the memory card with the adapter it is not working
