songs are grey dimmed
some of the songs in my library are grey and cant be played. When selecting the song it says go to Apple music or Itunes for Windows $& in preferences select Sync Library, but I cant find that

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.
For the particular device you're using, you'd just want to ensure that iCloud Music Library is enabled in Settings > Music, as Sync Library is available on iOS 13 and later.

If a song is grayed out
If you see No Longer Available next to a song that's grayed out, the song was added from Apple Music and was removed from the Apple Music catalog.
