ok, under network it used to say thunderbolt, ethernet and wifi now it only have wifi, why is that.

Did you look under Other Services? When I bring up System Settings > Network, it shows two groups.
The dual Ethernet entries are normal for my machine (there's an Ethernet port built into a USB-C-attached monitor).
