Software and app compatibility

I'm trying to download Audible for my dad (he has a 5th or 6th generation iPod, I think) but we keep getting a message that it's only compatible with ios 16 onwards, while his iPod is currently running on ios 15.7. Is there an older version of the app I can download for him?
