Macbook Pro late 2011 Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 cannot update macos and connect App Store. How can I update macos version and connect App store, icloud?

Hi,

The latest macOS for late 2011 MacBook Pro is Hight Sierra which is available at following site.

How to download and install macOS - Apple Support

If you can't connect to App Store, upgrade to Sierra which is available above site first, then upgrade to High Sierra which available above site.

I suggest an even more conservative approach. Upgrade to 10.11 El Capitan as a waypoint, even if you intend to go further.


10.11 El Capitan is the first MacOS with 'modern' encryption, and (after all software updates are applied) an up-to-date Mac App Store, and will make any further upgrades much easier.


If you find you cannot obtain MacOS 10.11 El Capitan from that web site, post back for a direct link that does not require httpS: encryption.
