iPhone vibrations

My iPhone has been vibrating randomly ever since I opened a link from a false ups message. I don’t know if that’s what is causing the random vibrations in my phone via a virus or if it’s a different issue. Does anybody get random vibrations in there phone that aren’t associated with any notifications and know how to fix the issue?

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 16

I tried to reinstall Pokémon Go today, and the issue not solved yet. Seems is a bug, the Pokémon Go Application automatically running on the background, even you closed the application.

You may check if your problem is same with me:

  1. Close the Pokémon Go application [Background too].
  2. Wait until the your phone have some random vibration again.
  3. Click on your Pokémon Go Apps. The apps will show as main page, instead of loading screen. [Due some glitch and cause Pokémon Go running on background randomly].
  4. The Pokémon Go character is going full black, and having a glitch text.

Here's the developer PSA:

"To resolve this, Niantic suggest that you should refresh game data under the advanced settings option in game.

As for the random phone vibrations you can turn off notifications as there isn’t a clear solution at this time."

I’m sure it has nothing to do with your Apple ID, and is probably the app (apps can send any kind of notification they want to), but you were certainly safe in changing your password.

It’s a glitch if it persist without any notifications of any kind. Lawrence I have seen you in many of the apple discussion post and I appreciate your input. Do you believe my iPhone could have had malware put onto from the link I clicked?

No. There is no known malware that can infect an iPhone currently.

No it's not. I don't have Pokémon installed and never have and I'm getting these random vibrations all the time.

Vibrations are a notification method, called Haptics. Go to settings/Sounds and Haptics and turn off the Play Haptics switches. Also go to settings/Notifications and tap on each app; any app that has Sounds enabled will also vibrate if Haptics is enabled in Sounds & Haptics.

With regards to: Random Vibrations

My phone also does a little random vibration identical to vibration of which occurs when conducting an Air Drop.

Could this have anything to do with me having to provide an Authority with my IMEI number and, my mobile phone number?

No, AirDrop uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and your IMEI is the identifier used for mobile network access, which is not involved at all with AirDrop.

IMEI can be used to track your location using the cellular network; your network operator knows the location of your phone through it’s IMEI (it has to, or it wouldn’t be able to connect callers to your phone if it didn’t know the tower your phone was connected to), and if an authority requires registering the IMEI it is so that authority can track your location. Registering IMEI with a government agency is unusual; it is not required in North America or Western Europe. It’s also redundant, because any governmental authority can just ask your carrier who you are, which they know because they bill you.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max I just received in the mail yesterday from an authorised refurbisher. My phone is (currently) constantly pulsing/vibrating, it stops every so often for a while but it makes me think I’ve got a notification or I’m switching to a different focus.

I have tried turning all notifications off and haptics off, does not stop it. Also restarted my phone. Could it be a malfunction?
