Apple Support Communities is/are what?

I am trying to join and use "Apple Support Communities." I am looking for an Introduction to using it. That is, how to sign in and what to do when get there. I use Apple Support and often need more views on solutions. This may help me on specific issues.

Thank you, AlanGramps

You have successfully joined, and logged in the communities as you have posted this very question in them.

In general, you can just go to Official Apple Support Community and click on the Sign in Button there to log in.

To post a question, as you have found out, you can start it from a specific support document as you have done for this one from "How to make your own movie with iMovie - Apple Support" or use the "Ask the Community" link at the top of every forum page.

The support communities are technical forums filled with volunteers helping other Apple device and service users with issues or questions they may have about their Apple devices and services.

Welcome!

The well-hidden forum site map is quite useful for seeing what devices and devices have forum sections. To save you having to search for it, you may wish to bookmarks its addess:

Site Map - Apple Community

When I started here 20+ years ago I would pick a forum section and read posts and their answers to gain more knowledge about troubleshooting and to learn what types of responses were most helpful.

Another thing: When you search Apple Support independently of these forums, you get a list of topics. Some results can be pertinent threads within the forums, marked like this:

The "Q" indicates a question asked in these forums.
