I can't identify a cause and effect as to when this started, but my Mac Studio has gone from booting in seconds to well over a minute. The progress bar hits about 3/4 and sits. I've tested the boot drive, booted to safemode, booted with all external devices disconnected but so far no luck. In the past, I would boot in verbose mode to troubleshoot, but I haven't found a way to do this.

That is sometimes caused by the drive not Mounting, and it does a Disk Repair attempting to clear the problem.
You may be able to help by booting into Recovery, and running repair disk when MacOS is not also trying to boot from that same drive. In that case, it can sometimes make some more aggressive repairs.

Thanks! I gave it a go but the problem persists. Is there anything like booting in verbose mode so I might be able to see what's hanging?
the only options are in that article. you could read the recovery log, but that is a nightmare, and may not tell you anything.
