One email account shows up on Mac but not iPhone
A have several different accounts in Mail. All show up properly on the Mac. All but one shows up properly on the phone. All the accounts show up as online. How best and safest to fix this?

The reason delete and add back works is that it downloads a new set of configurations for the account. The email provider may have changed things or they may just have gotten messed up. But yes, a connection is required.

What do you mean when you say it doesn't show up properly? Do you mean you're not getting mail from that account? Do you mean something else?
On the phone, go to Settings>Mail>Accounts. Is the missing account signed in there?
Yes, the account is listed in Settings>Mail>Accounts, and Mail is turned on, which is why I am puzzled. No incoming mail on this account shows up in Mail on the phone, though incoming mail for that account shows up on my iMac.
This stalls out in the verification stage. But I think it's a connection problem at my location today. Will try this again later and tomorrow if necessary and will post when I have a result. Delete and add it back does sound like it should work. Thanks.
Okay. Delete the account from your phone and add it back. See if that fixes it. It often does.
My connection finally returned, and lo and behold, the email account is now readable in both places. Thanks again.
