That was one example, it happens with many apps all of which are downloaded from Apple App Store making them an Apple app.
Downloading. a third-party app from the Apple App Store does not make it an Apple app, i.e., one that's written and supported by Apple. If you go to a Giant Eagle supermarket, and buy a can of Campbell's soup, do you say that purchasing the soup there means that it is Giant Eagle house brand soup?
For the same data (projects, photos, food orders, etc) to automatically synchronize between iPhone and iPad, there would need to be some sort of synchronization through iCloud or through a third-party cloud. I could be wrong, but I don't believe that iPhone and iPad apps are prohibited from storing data locally on a single device.
If your Panera orders-in-progress are not synchronizing between your iPhone and iPad, it could be that Panera didn't design their app to synchronize that information through the cloud. What does their support have to say about it?
