Apple ID's: changing countries and updating apps when bought in different countries

Hi there. I need to change my country from South Africa to USA. I bought a lifetime subscription to an app in the South African app store. Can this be transferred to the USA app store or is it possible to have 2 app store ID's - one in each country to allow me to get updates to this app by logging into the South African app store to do this while my default country is USA?

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 16
