How do I clear the message TOO MANY FAILED ATTEMPTS? I am in the process of unpairing my iPhone with my watch

  1. followed steps to unpair watch with my phone
  2. was unclear what password to use
  3. so I listed too many times,
  4. Now, I'm stuck with TOO MANY FAILED ATTEMPTS
  5. STILL UNCLEAR WHAT THE PASSWORD IS

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 13

Hi cleverMe,


When unpairing your Apple Watch, it may prompt for your Apple ID password. Your Apple ID is usually the same that you use for iCloud and App Store and iTunes Store purchases. If you forgot your Apple ID password, you can reset it by following If you forgot your Apple ID password.
