So I have this issue too - seeing data many places incl cardio fitness but NO DATA available in the “cardio recovery” section, and I AM using the green workout app and have recorded many walks and hikes! My husband’s shows/records that one and mine doesn’t. Can’t figure it out. It records all sorts of other data.

I can see where it should be, but it says no data and also has no device source - but it’s not responsive to tapping anywhere to “add” source!

Hello,

Thank you for your response. My issue was not finding the measurements, but rather that the VO2 max and cardio recovery are not being calculated based on the data collected from my workouts. I spoke with Apple Support, and they explained that I must do an Outdoor Walk, Outdoor Run, or Hiking workout in the Workout app (several?) before receiving an initial estimate. I have been using the Indoor Cycling app, which was why I was not seeing a VO2max estimate.

Thank you for your response. I have learned that VO2 Max calculations are only available for an outdoor walk, hike or run. I still do not get data for Cardio Recovery in the Health App, but I have given up trying to figure this out (I have contacted Apple Support). It seems so easy to calculate since the watch is measuring heart rate post workout. I just view cardio recovery by looking at the post workout heart rate data in the Fitness app.

Hi sherif144,

Let's make sure you're looking in the right section. Please follow the steps below to locate your VO2 max data.

To perform the recommended troubleshooting steps via the link above, complete the steps in the section titled "View your cardio fitness data."

1. Open the Health app on your iPhone, then tap Browse.
2. Tap Heart, then tap Cardio Fitness.
3. Tap D, W, or Y to view your average for the Day, Week, or Year.
4. Tap Show All Cardio Fitness Levels.
5. Tap a cardio fitness level to compare your results to other levels based on your age and sex.
