When Does Safari Team Plan to Fix Memory Creep Issue?

The Safari memory creep issue is ubiquitous on so many Macintosh machines. It has been like this for several years. Why doesn't the Safari Team fix this problem? Is there even a plan to fix these? I love Safari's seamless, but the memory creep issue makes this browser basically unusable, and it hung the system so many times when I forgot to close it.
