Reachable At advice

I have 2 iPhone’s, one for me & one for my wife. The "reachable at" entry for each has both phone numbers. I’d like to keep apps like FaceTime and iMessage on the proper device. When I go to edit one entry out I get a warning that I will lose access to that number. Does that mean that my account loses access to that number, or just that that phone will not answer to it? How do i safely delete 1 number from each iPhone?

Greetings fgfiamingo,

Great question. You will not lose access to your phone number. You will receive iMessage and FaceTime calls to the number that you would like to be reached at. You can find more details here: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime

We hope this helps.

Have a wonderful day!
