I own 2019 Chevy Colorado pickup. It will not charge my iPhone 7. Although the phone recognizes it is connected, doesn't charge. Since I use my iPhone on long trips as my gps device, I need for it to remain charged throughout the trip.

It’s unusual that a vehicle that new cannot supply enough power to charge an iPhone. Older cars could only supply 1/2 amp, but newer cars can supply 2 amps or more. The first step is to check the specs for the car. If it has more than one USB port try all of them.
