how to migrate bootcamp partion to new mac

Hey so I'm using a late 2013 iMac and I'm upgrading it to a 2020 iMac 5k. I'm wondering how I backup and restore the BootCamp partition to the new iMac. I have Winclone 10 pro and there is a tool that is called inject drivers. so I'm wondering if should i use that and inject the newer drivers that are made for the iMac 2020. Or is there a better way? because I know the hard drive, GPU, CPU, (ETC.) for example AMD instead of Nvidia are all different. so how do I backup and restore the Bootcamp partition to the new Mac without any issues and make sure all the correct drivers are installed and BootCamp is bootable? Please anyone I really need your help.

You would need to reinstall Windows using Boot Camp Assistant.

I believe Windows may have some sort of migration option available, so you may be migrate your old setup to the new Windows installation using a built-in Windows utility. How you do this I am not certain since I don't use Windows anymore, but you should check with Microsoft or the Microsoft Windows support forums for advice. However, don't follow any advice which has you modifying the whole Windows partition since this is not a dedicated Windows PC. Anything that modifies the system at a partition level will likely cause Windows and/or macOS to no longer boot. This includes cloning software. Be prepare to start completely over if a mistake is made (including reinstalling macOS & Windows).

Minor point, without disagreeing with the preceding.

When reinstalling Bootcamp Windows using Winclone, I found it simplest to use Bootcamp to create the Bootcamp partition, then stop, go back to Mac OS and use the Restore option from Winclone to the new Bootcamp partition.

Conventional wisdom on drivers (not mine, I am no expert):

Update Drivers using Windows Update

  1. Click the Start , then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. ...
  2. Click Check for updates.
  3. Now, click View optional updates.
  4. Click Driver updates, then select the drivers you want to update.
  5. Click Download and install.

Update Drivers with Device Manager

  1. Right-click on Start , then select Device Manager.
  2. Select a device category, then right-click the one you like to update.
  3. Select Update driver, then click Search automatically for drivers.
  4. If Windows can't find an update, visit the device manufacturer's website and check for available driver updates.
