Apple USB SuperDrive does not work, ejects all DVDs.

I have a 2018 Mac Mini, with an Apple USB SuperDrive. If I put in a DVD it gets ejected. This happened with os 11, and still happens with the latest os 13.5.1. I've tried 2 different Apple USB SuperDrives. I have a cheap LG external USB DVD player that works fine, and also worked on my previous os. (some random LG compatible with my Mac but an Apple device isn't?)

Both drives show up in System Information.

Anyone know a way to get the SuperDrive to work?

Mac mini, macOS 13.5

Dude! No! I wasn't! I had the Apple logo on top, which seems to make sense that that would be the top. Man! I was on tech support twice for this, and even they didn't considered that! Right-side-up looks upside-down to me.
