Numbers chart

I need help creating a 3-line chart in Numbers. I have 3 kids, Sam, age 13, Frank, age10, and Adam, age 6. I want to record their individual gains showing their weights at monthly intervals on a single chart. I entered the data in Excel with 24 months across the top and weights ranging from 50 to 250 in increments of 10. up the left vertical axis. But I don't know how to plot a red line for Sam, a blue line for Frank, and a green line for Adam. Please tell me how.

You create a table like this one. Set column headers to 0, it will help creating the graph.

Then select all cells including the header row, and click on Chart in the tool bar. Select that one.

Voilà! This should appear by magic.

Then if you want to customize the appearance, click on a color dot and go to Format / Style in the toolbar. Play with the options. This is an example of what you can do.
